September Junior Grading |
The September junior grading results are now available. Congratulations all and especially to Marc, who double-graded to 9th kyu! This was a relatively small grading because all the adults will be grading at the senior grading at the end of the month. |

AMAC 2007 - State Finals |
The AMAC State Finals are almost here. The 9th of September will be the last AMAC tournament for the year, and we expect to have a reasonable turnout. Make sure you get your application forms in soon. There will also be the State Final for the AMAC Full Contact Circuit, which during the year has provided us with some entertaining fighting. |

IFKKA TOURNAMENT REMINDER!!! |
Just a big reminder to everyone, both from the IFKKA and other organisations: entry forms are due now for our 17th June IFKKA Tournament . If you haven't already got a form, you can get it here. Bring a friend or eight - remember, it's a round robin team event that requires teams of three people. BUT if you can't make up a team - don't worry, enter anyway - we'll make up a team for you with others in the same boat. And if there aren't enough teams, it reverts back to an individual round robin tournament - you get lots of competition for your money! |

2007 AMAC Round 2 |
A big success for the IFKKA! Ten competitors, at least 10 trophies (including 7 First places, and a couple of medals in the fun events! A big "Congratulations" to all who competed! You are the ones who make these tournaments work. We now have our tournament to look forward to in a couple of weeks and we expect that everyone will compete in at least one division, if not more! A more detailed breakdown of the IFKKA results at this AMAC round can be found here.

Sydney Junior Games |
NOTE: This event has had to be postponed and will not be on this weekend. The Sydney Junior Championships are on again this year, after a year's break. This year, they'll be held at the Anne Clarke Center, Church St., Lidmore. This tournament is only for competitors under 17.
In conjunction with that, there will also be the second AMAC sanctioned Full Contact tournament for the year. This will be for both colts and adults and could be as exciting as the last one in March was.
Everyone should come along and support, and maybe one day be inspired to compete in one or the other. |

Squad and Fitness Training Sessions |
Ben Osland from Newtown Dojo has decided that our students need more training opportunities and has offered to run Sunday sessions at Newtown from 10:00-12:00 in the morning. It's a good opportunity to get very fit, as Ben is keen to get more people up to his standards! Training will consiste of stamina, strength, and speed work, and should allow you all to get nice and warm during the coming winter Sunday mornings! 29th April - Unfortunately, Newtown's hall is no longer available at this time. We're looking for an alternative location. Any suggestions/offers? |
