The Stoccas have done it yet again! Both Marco and Xavier managed to take first place in both Points and Continuous in their respective age divisions, in some fights against some much larger opponents. Peter Le and Thanh Pham also managed to take home a number of trophies each - with Peter also having competed in the Full Contact division. A couple of photos in the gallery, and more on the way. If you have any good ones of the day, and would like to have them on the site, please pass them on to me.

Stoccas rule! Print E-mail

Xavier showing his form
Congratulations to the Stocca boys from Newtown dojo and their recent winning streak! They made the trip to Canberra for the Round 1 of the AMAC ACT, and both of them came home with 1st places in BOTH the Points and Forms, and Xavier also managed to take 2nd place in Freestyle. Marco might have done well in Freestyle had he not withdrawn due to an injured thumb from an earlier incident with a car door!

Xavier then went on to compete in AMAC NSW Sydney Round 2, and got 3rd place in forms, and fought his way through to the final of the Freestyle division, where he prevailed against older and bigger athletes to take 1st place there. His achievement was made doubly impressive because this was the 8-10yrs division, he'd only just turned 8 the weekend before, AND there were 36 competitors in the division!
